We have ventless gas logs made by Martin Industries. I would like to get rid of the logs and modernize with rocks that  I have seen on HGTV...who do I call?  Am I using the right words? Is it possible?

The use of rocks, pebbles or beads can't be done with a ventless gas log set. The ventless gas products are safe and clean burning unless the burner is covered or other items added to the gas logs over the burner. The burners and their burn pattern is designed specifically for the log set and alterations can't be done without odors and sooting.

Update 10/27/2015

There are now options for glass with ventless gas fireplaces, again the ventless gas fireplace burner has to be designed for the glass in order to prevent sooting and odors. and the use of glass on the ventless gas burner.
