Reviews and TestimonialsThe remotereceiver were easy to install, but maybe I missed a key point in the directions. The receiver plugs into 2 wires of the millivolt ready logset. 4 batteries in the receiver, 3 in the remote. I lit the unit, then tried to shut off the flame and it would not. I noted the red light blinked on the receiver, so it saw the command. Well, there is an onoff switch on the logset gas valve. Shut this to 'OFF'. Then the remote will now control the onoff of the logset. This remote can be used as a simple onoff device at your command OR you can place in 'auto' and use it as a Thermostat when you areare not home and it will cycle the logset accordingly to your set temp.
